Exceedingly Easy has the distinction of being the first winner from 's new second training base and he is hoping the filly can now step up to metropolitan class.

Since moving to in 2016, the former Sydney trainer has operated out of Pinecliff, a private facility at Mt Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula.

With success, including the with , has come added interest from clients resulting in Begg seeking extra stabling.

At the beginning of this month, he took up residency at Neerim Lodge at where he has 20 boxes to complement the 10 he has at Pinecliff.

Exceedingly Easy was the first of his runners from the new stable when successful at Mornington on December 7 and Begg is hoping for a repeat performance when the filly runs in Wednesday's Ladbrokes Info Hub Handicap at Caulfield.

“I was a bit limited with what I could do down at Pinecliff,” Begg said.

“We're still keeping our base down there but we needed more room and the opportunity came up so we took it.”

The new stabling arrangements allow Begg to have 30 horses in work, a number he said was suitable.

“I don't want to train any more than that and at Pinecliff I couldn't accommodate that number,” he said.

“This way it gives me a bit more breathing space and enables us to expand our business.

“We ended up with quite a number of babies this year which I've had in pre-training and it's about time they came in to do a bit of serious work.”

Exceedingly Easy broke through for her maiden win after running second at her previous two outings at and .

Begg said he was also considering running Exceedingly Easy in a three-year-old fillies benchmark 64 race at on Friday night.

“I wasn't going to run here (Caulfield) but the field came up a bit short so I thought I'd accept,” Begg said.

“She's drawn well and has a good on in , so we'll have a good think about it.”
