trainer entered a new stage of his association with the prestigious Stud when well-bred two-year-old won at .

Ballistic Boy carried the colours of the southern NSW-based stud when he sat outside the pace and came away in the straight.

Anderson has won a dozen races for Think Big stud's Duncan Ramage and the late Dato Tan Chin Nam.

“They were mainly older horses who they were good enough to send to me after they had raced in the south,” Anderson said.

“But last year they bought and sent me about half a dozen beautifully bred younger horses and Ballistic Boy is one of those.”

“I get a real thrill whenever I win a race for them but this one is special.”

Ballistic Boy, a $100,000 buy, started $1.55 on the strength of an easy recent trial win.

“I think you will see a really good horse next year when he gets out over more ground,” Anderson said.

A more relaxed Hit Snooze ($16) saved from banishment to the bush when she won.

The Steve O'Dea-trained Hit Snooze had trialled well before her first previous run in a similar race at Doomben two weeks ago.

However, she was a nervous wreck before going onto the track and was beaten 14 lengths into eighth place.

Stable foreman said Hit Snooze had been a lot better before Wednesday's race but was still a little stirred up.

“She has shown ability but she will have to learn to overcome her nerves,” he said.
