Gollan has runners in most of the 10 races at Doomben on Saturday but the most interesting is promising galloper who tackles the EJ Cast Iron Handicap (2000m).

A $180,000 purchase as a yearling has won his past three starts at midweek meetings.

“He is out of a mare and I have always thought he would make a nice stayer,” Gollan said.

“This is his first middle-distance test and I just want a decent track for him,' Gollan said.
